Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has provided a first week sales figure for Pokémon Black Version 2 & White Version 2, courtesy of Enterbrain.
With pre-orders already exceeding 1.16 million, the key Nintendo DS release was able to achieve sales of 1,618,621.
In context, as Pokémon Black Version 2 & White Version 2 were released on a Saturday such a figure only consists of sales across two days. Yes, two days!
It’s also become the first game to sell a million units in Japan this year across all platforms, although failed to best records previously set by the original Pokémon Black & White, which sold 2,637,285 units across two days on sale.

Alex Seedhouse+ Alex's early adoration for Nintendo began with a Yellow Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land. This developed over the years, later peaking when he hid in his room to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time one Christmas. Nowadays, his enthusiasm is shared through Nintendo Insider, a place in which he can document his thoughts regarding the big N.
