Rob Lowe to leave Nintendo UK

Nintendo UK have announced that Rob Lowe, Head of Home Console Marketing Team, is due to leave the company.

He has been with the company for eight years, and formed part of the team that launched the enormously successful Wii across the United Kingdom.

Lowe will depart Nintendo UK on 1st June 2012, to become the marketing director for BBC Worldwide.

A replacement, as well as one for recent departee Dawn Paine, are to be announced in due course.

“Rob has been a valuable member of the UK marketing team and whilst we are sad to see him go, we are proud to watch a member of our Nintendo family start a new chapter in their career”, commented Nintendo UK general manager David Yarnton.

“Rob leaves behind him a talented and exceptional team who will continue to deliver some of the industries strongest and most creative campaign as we embark on an exciting year ahead”.
