SEGA list Sonic Generations for Nintendo 3DS

Sonic1

A recent earnings report released by SEGA may have outed another surprise ahead of this year’s E3 event, with the company listing Sonic’s 20th Anniversary platform Sonic Generations as a Nintendo 3DS release.

Within a chart used to clarify SEGA’s games schedule currently planned to release in the next fiscal year, Sonic Generations, previously only for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, is also listed as heading for a release on Nintendo’s latest handheld.

Whilst there is the possibility that it may simply have been an error, it doesn’t seem plausible that SEGA would release false information through what is deemed to be quite an important document. Either way, we’re sure that we’ll be offered more clarity soon enough.

  1. Plus Nintendo Power is doing a Sonic 20th Anniversary preview for their next issue, even though no titles were announced… I thought that meant it was coming to the Wii, but a portable Sonic sounds even better! ^_^

    1. I imagine the Nintendo Power article will be investigating the history of the Sonic titles, as well as some more info about Sonic & Mario at the Olympic Games.

I’d love Sonic Generations to hit the Nintendo 3DS, but I’m sceptical as to why it wouldn’t have been announced alongside the other platforms 🙁
