There’s been a lot of new information that came out of Satoru Iwata’s keynote speech at GDC ’11 today, including further details regarding the Nintendo 3DS’ Virtual Console service.

In a similar sense to that seen on the Wii, players will be able to purchase classic games from the illustrious history of the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Gear and TurboGrafx-16. Alongside this, Nintendo are also to release “3D Classics” which are believed to incorporate games from the aforementioned platforms with additional 3D visuals.

Further to this, all titles previously available on DSiWare will also be able to be purchased, and any that you already own will be able to be transferred onto your Nintendo 3DS. The handheld system is also to feature an Internet Browser.
